Tyler played house hockey for TYHA (Troy Youth Hockey Association) for 4 years He had a virus that attacked his perfectly healthy heart and was gone within 24 hours of symptoms.

At the age of 12, Tyler passed on March 2nd, 2007. Tyler wore the number 87 on his last jersey.

The Tyler Teasdale TYHA Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 and will give financial help to a hockey player in need. Any additional donations may be made out to TYHA, please specify to the Tyler Teasdale Scholarship fund.
